CAMERA EXERCISE EVALUATION

The task that was set was to create a video that would show many different angles of filming shots. We worked in a groups of 4 and each took turns with the camera, also we were each able to be in the recording.

As we started filming our video we were able to find different angles that suited the shots, for example we created a high angle shot by standing on the bench and filming one of our group member sitting on the bench. in this shot we also adding a crane shot. This is where we zoomed in and out slowly to create a sense of making the actor feel small and innocent. With this shot I filmed I realised that it was very hard to keep the camera steady as I used a handheld camera. What would have been easier was if I was able to use a steady cam, but that equipment is very expensive and not available to use.

Our next accomplished shot was an over the shoulder shot. This shot I think we did very well at making the camera steady by using the camera tripod to get the correct angle that we then decided to  use for this shot. The over the shoulder shot was filmed by Deja. What Deja done very well was to capture the facial expression of the person facing the camera reacting to whoever they were conversing with. What Deja could have improved on is how she executed this over the shoulder shot. Even though the camera was on the tripod and in a steady postion she could have just kept it still on the ground so the viewer doesn't see and strange movements.
